SCAW IACUC Training Workshop – April 30, 2012, Baltimore, Maryland

It is expected that this course will be approved for hours of continuing education credit in jurisdictions which recognize AAVSB RACE approval; however participants should be aware that some boards have limitations on the number of hours accepted in certain categories and/or restrictions on certain methods of delivery of continued education. This workshop will help meet the requirement stated in the Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals 8th edition, 2011 that states “All personnel involved with the care and use of animals must be adequately educated, trained, and/or qualified in basic principles of laboratory animal science to help ensure high quality science and animal well-being”. It will also address USDA/APHIS/AC Policy 15.
